Trademark

Photo Retouch 1

SY Trademark Design

The purpose of this project is to create a company's product trademark, which will be engraved on metal. The product is built for constructional purpose and so the surface itself would endure a lot; therefore, the engraved trademark should be both easily recognized and uneasy to scratched off. Thus, I chose the bulky compatica BT as the company initial font, which reflects a sturdy and grounded sense to it. That's exactly what the purpose of the company and its product, constructional site safety equipment.

Original Text vs Edited Text

Leading Change, etc

Leading and kerning system is totally different from oriental character system to western alphebetical system, and the author sure really liked to input some unwanted spaces and weird punctuations. The most of the time I've spent on the project so far was editing the document to be not just visually accessible, but legible to all audience.

Project so far

Being the editor and designer at the same time hasn't been too much fun for me in this particular project so far, especially, when the writer's words file consists tons full and half size signs, wrong punctunations, unnecessary spacing, different styles of hierarchy information. Originally, I expected this to be a week job, but there have been great many small detail that just couldn't be pulled off by inputting the style sheet or master page. Perhaps, it could be that I am still not truely familiar with the program, or simply, this project is too much to be one week job. Nevertheless, I have learned a lot.
